I only have the Kit lens and I want to get a new lens. In the best case I would like a 24mm to roughly have the 35mm look on DX, but afaik there is no such DX prime made by Nikon. I could buy th 24mm 1.8G, but its a big FX prime and too expensive and big. Is there any other 24mm DX prime by a third party manufacturer? Maybe even some cheap china shit, like Meike or similar.
Ann alternative would be to buy a newer cheap kit lens, but with VR. The current lens has no VR so I have to crank up the ISO, which is a no-go on such an old body like the D40. Thanks for your input!
