About the cat photo I agree that it's not very interesting. It wasn't in fact meant to stand on its own. All three of these photos were taken in the same courtyard. The cat photo is decent composition-wise and in my opinion helps conveying the atmosphere, that's why I left it there.
The car was in fact an old piece of junk. A lady that passed by as I was taking the photo told me it had been sitting here for a hundred years.
