I like the fact that my camera is old and I don't have to worry about a lot of settings and about breaking it, but there are a lot of little costs: film, developing, a scanner (if I buy one).
I also feel like a digital camera could be more useful to take pictures of myself, to learn about lighting and to experiment...
Am I right to consider the "digital path" less expensive? Will I lose some of the "fun" by making this switch?
I'd like to keep it a casual hobby, but just the scanner is as expensive as a Canon DSLR... I'm consfused.
