But it's quite great for being lazy about not removing cards and also kinda enables you to have image review capabilities as you shoot on a higher resolution computer or smartphone screen and so on.
Of course you don't need this thing extra if you have WLAN and remote control / file transfer features in your new camera anyhow. It's just something interesting for people here who don't.
