>>3438784>>3438877You are using all the wrong arguments. It's very easy for people to try out the cheap stuff and prove you wrong.
Instead point towards the fickle nature of the Chinese companies.
Dic&Mic doesn't exist anymore for example, pic related.
I bought this Tripod back in 2015 because Some Anon recommended the brand.
Fast forward 4 years later, the brand is dead, no products remain and search results will be 0. (which also explains why we haven't seen anymore recommendations of this brand on /p/ anymore, he can't recommend it even if he wanted to)
In China they apparently don't care about their brand value. Brands come and go like the rain season. Perhaps to avoid warranty responsibility, or perhaps to avoid Chinese taxation.
So you should use this argument instead.
For example point out the warranty is worth shit. You have to pay for the shipping back to China, and there is no even a guarantee the brand still exists a year after you made your purchase.
That's the only real argument you have available.
That said though, the Tripod hasn't broken yet. It still works and will probably live longer than me.
(Chinese bikes/scooters are a different matter, that crap rusts after a few weeks in heavily salted western roads, if it's a Bike from China, and the metal part isn't painted over, it will rust away, 2 rusty bikes so far, never again.)
