>>3891633I've gone through exactly 2 Stylus Epics. First one was my take everywhere, abuse to hell camera from 2007-2012 when it finally stopped advancing film. My second one was bought in 2015 and it's still going strong despite all the abuse.
They're great cameras. Super sharp lenses with fast + accurate AG, very robust (I seriously beat mine to shit and am only on my second one in 15 years), smaller with better form factor than pretty much any other compact camera, preference fast SS over DoF (the camera opens up to F2.8 before dropping the SS below 1/125th).
Is it a shit camera? Far from it. It would be my top recommendation for a p&s. Would I pay $300 for one? Nah, that's a bit steep. For <$150 it's a great snapper though and nobody here has thus far given any counter argument to these positive points I've outlined.
