>>3254746I'm going to put some hard wax oil on it to give it a nice, durable and matte finish I think. Gave it a small go with some stain, but this shitty construction grade lumber doesn't take it very well.
It may be economical in terms of material costs, since I only used left overs I found lying around, but not if you include the time. I've spent two months working on it on and off, but it's taken a long long time since I made the entire frame without using screws or glue, which I had never done before.
Here's another table I made for the other room, on this one I used screws, so it only took me an afternoon. Made to fit a thick glass plate we had lying around, that well use as a work table and for drying prints. Going to make print drawers along one side, and shelves for storing paper on the other.
