>>4295528I hear you, it's just that the only tele zoom lense that would work on a film body AND not compromise the IQ is the 100-400L ii, and they continue to be very expensive, and I would still be in an autistic headspace over what the IS was doing whenever I'd use it. They also do excellent macro, which the 400L certainly doesn't.
Pic related re:IQ, it's the tamron 150-600 G1, on an F100. Shot at f11 in ideal conditions, but the outer part of the frame just isn't very good, and it's just too fucking heavy to carry around if you're not going to be blown away by the results.
