I bought a box of old miscellaneous lenses some time ago. I recently bought some super cheap metal reverse rings too. The reverse rings are perfect for doing various diy things when you need something sturdy. I tore off the filter threads, from one side of a ring, drilled a few holes, and used it to convert an OM-mount lens to an F-mount.
The lens is an all metal, manual, Vivitar, 75-205mm, f/3.8 that can do about 1:4 magnification in its, "Close-up," mode. I'm fairly satisfied with its function. It has some CA, but I think my kit lens is worse. It is as heavy as a brick and is probably an illegal weapon in the state of California.
