that people think phones compete with cameras really speaks volumes about the lack of awareness and distinction possessed by people of "average" intelligence. it's like there are facts of the world they do not can can not notice any more than a cat is cognizant of its captivity, the value of freedom beyond "me smell food/sex over there, me want", or the difference in flavor between some garbage and real food.
no wonder the majority of photographers are ashkenazi jews (average IQ: 115) rather than any other race (average IQ: 105 to 75 from northern european to indian/african). stupider people literally can not notice the benefits of a real camera. but to someone with intelligence, it is as obvious as the difference between the smell of shit and the smell of flowers, or the taste of 5 day old pizza and the taste of a real fresh baked flatbread.
