>>3105877I ment that you should inspect the actual negative for that cast - so we can rule out any issues with the scan itself. See attached scan for what I mean in regards to cast and Newton rings. Usually, scratches and dust on/in the lens are not visible, don't know about larger spots (e.g. fingerprints).
Does the XA-2 have a little window at the back so you can see which film is inside? If so and the cast is visible in the negative as well, inspect the light seals around it.
