I think Ektar 100 is the highest resolution film on the market. Slide films have lower grain, but very soft when enlarged to a high degree. Obviously anything LF is gonna beat at basically any digital camera when printing at anything reasonable (30-40" on the long side).
The main reason I like LF is the process, I leads me to take better images since I consider things more. Additionally, LF slides are something to see irl. The color is unlike anything I've ever seen from.
