Nikon made a few good AF macro lenses, you can find an AF version of the legendary 55 Macro for under 200 easy and the AF version is 1:1 without an adapter unlike the MF version, but optically they are identical. Legendary optics, read the Ken Rockwell review he isn't laying about it, I own both models.
