It's good to see that anons with actual academic background are still posting on /p/.
>You're saying this like photo books aren't capable of teaching others about those things and that's just not true. Don't get me wrong anon I am just a high school dropout with access to internet who is tying to develop a good understanding of the art photography. I have recommended these
>>3686589 books because of their availability, you just go to lib gen and download these for free. One of the main problem with art photography is that the scene is still very institutionalized, conservative and reserved for the "cultural elite". And it's hard to find these books online or even the lectures or papers about them online. For example in case of literature you just go to /lit/ and ask them for recommendations and you will get cream of literature or the "patrician-core" books. But that's not true for photography. You almost never find any discussion related to artistic side of photography on internet and you have to do a MFA from a 1st world university for that kek.
I am already aware with the work of those artists that you have recommended. Can you recommend some books that are considered "exit level"?
>If you'd like some more contemporary recommendations, or even super 'up-to-date' takes on who some fascinating young photographers are, working right now, let me know.oh please gib recommendations
