>>4206336The delivery part isn't as bad especially now that the economy is in the toilet and less trucks are on the road. I had a delivery to Core-Mark in NM and I was the only truck there. With experience the delivery part becomes less and less stressful. Those small cramped cities don't scare me at all and being as big as I am, most cars get out of my way and those who don't I can just bully them out of the way. I have 1 million safe miles of on-time delivery and no accidents.
Most truckers are glued to their phones at the end of the day and just sit there looking at dumb shit so most don't even notice. I have been approached and asked if I work for Overdrive Magazine or 10-4, Rollin' Out, etc. and nowadays the Youtube Channel Bonehead Truckers. If you go at night like when I shot these, most are asleep. Especially in a large Democrat population center we have to run 3am to 3pm or we won't get parked by the end of the day. It also helps I'm a fat fuck so I blend in.
I run nights so most people are asleep when I shot these. Guys like me are called vampires, nightcrawlers, we can stay up all night and roll without getting tired and that definitely has some fringe benefits when trying to get shots like these and trying to avoid people while doing it. We've all seen some shit so some dude walking around with a camera is no big deal. I usually strap on one of my old chrome film bodies too so I look like a film student and not a creep or some dude looking for his 15 minutes of fame on Youtube.
