>>3994211And none of those are made by Fuji, who leave their UWA segment to third party manufacturers
The new Samyang is as good as the old manual one, which is an old design from 2012 so not exactly on par with some of the competition. The Laowa is really nice but a tad bit too slow for astro and MF as well. I have repeatedly thought about getting it, though, as I really like Laowa's lenses and it's incredibly compact.
The Viltrox is just about to be shipped and very much along the lines of what I would like but I'll have to wait for a couple more reviews.
The "problem" with all those lenses/manufacturers is that while they produce really nice lenses they have to cut corners to be competitive vis a vis Fuji's own line-up, so either not as well-corrected than what Fuji usually offers or lacking AF. Plus the colors are usually better on native Fuji glass. Pretty nit-picky, I admit, I mostly hate the fact that Fuji is neglecting that segment themselves and that there's no "zero worries" offer from them.
