>>3417595I actually got the shader working from inside the emulator itself (Retroarch) with videos with an FFMPEG plugin and you're right. It looks good but it seems to have difficulty with interlaced video. It looks good, but not great. I think with the correct video resolution + tweaked settings it would work, but I'll probably just use it as a baseline while I find a way to port the effect into a format suitable for video, probably higher quality. pic related is what a DVD-scan of Serial Experiments Lain I used to test with the shader I have in mind. I have a VHS rip I want to try, too, but I'm starting to think the interlaced jitteriness will be too unstable for a real-time filter to handle without looking terrible.
Also keep in mind this is a 1080p capture so the phosphors aren't visible, which is where the filter shines
