count yourself lucky, right now is the silver age of /p/.
There was half a decade or so from ~2015-2020 where /p/ was 90% gear threads, and the only photos were posted on /rpt/

Before /rpt/ was the golden age of /p/, that was when people posted photo threads all the time.

it's RPT that nearly killed /p/ in the past 3-4 years

though /p/ has gotten much better this past year, I'm seeing a lot more themed photo threads (clouds, landscape, B&W, architecture, etc.).
The challenges thread are also nice

RPT is the last place OP should post if he wants to improve since his problem is that he has hit a plateau

OP, if you've truly hit a plateau, post all your best photos here and make a critique thread. If you post them in RPT they will get lost with everyone else's photos, and you will only receive critiques for each photo individually as opposed to critique for how to improve as a whole.
