My girlfriend was interested in my cameras at first, seemed to think they were neat and let me shoot her. She had a 35mm slr I taught her to use and bought her film for it. But somehow even the most minute mention of photography seems to annoy her. I fucked up somehow, but honestly can't determine how.
She brings up valid points, how it's the laziest art, how most photos are garbage nobody would ever care about, and I agree but I don't see how that means it isn't worth doing. I do other kinds of art, too, drawing, CAD for machining and circuit boards. She doesn't even do any art herself. I obviously can't tell her she has no leg to stand on, since that wouldn't be productive and I want to get her to like photography again.
It's not that big of a deal for our relationship, but it's been bothering me lately because I've been leaving my cameras behind on our trips.
1. How did I cause her to dislike photography?
2. How can I undo whatever I did.
