they made the k1000 for like nearly 25 years, later production moved off japan. chinese and hong kong made k1000 and k1000SE have plastic tops rather than metal, so they can't stamp AOCo. they're not bad cameras overall, is just that many of them had some crappy mirroring in the prism and it's highly likely to flake off. just something to look out, especially if paying that much for one.
