so even if you pay like $8 for a 35mm roll and $8 for a 120, you'll end up paying 3 developments and 3 scannings for the same 36 shots
of course they're wildly different and medium format is way better in terms of quality because there's way more area for light to hit, ergo a lot more information
but 35mm is already super detailed and you usually won't enlarge it to the size of firetruck, so the 35mm will suffice for most uses, especially for posting the scans online
also a 35mm camera is basically always way easier to carry around and shoot and stuff
That being said: if you'd want to get into medium format, I'd highly recommend that because it's absolutely amazing and fucking beautiful
