The tourist board keeps quiet that the sand dunes were cultivated centuaries ago by planting marram grass to stop sand blowing onto the farmland of the Lancashire Plain and the "Pine Woods" were planted for the same reason about 100 years ago. The red squirells were imported from Scandanavia soon after.
Regardless of how wild they are they are hard to photograph. First time trying "wildlife" for me. There was a big black Raven lurking, he seemed immune to AF.
