>>3758634UW like 14mm and 16mm are fine and can be very useful when called for. They are best used for grand vistas, close foreground shots, and cloud heavy skies. I have found most of the landscapes I take are around 24-35mm for the focal length.
Panoramic stacking has it's place but often enough is less appropriate than a well used UW.
