>>3633045afaik fov stays the same. Angle of View ° can be measured diagonally, vertically or horizontally, but since you're always filming in horizontal, manufacturers use that as a default. Horizontal does not change with crops on top and bottom, so they can still claim full sensor readout. When cam does crop output, it's always cropped at the horizontals.
I think it's same for anamorphic lenses. Final output will need to be squeezed, but Angle of View will be still stated for distorted original.
