I'm about to buy a new system from scratch. Still not sure wether to buy into the Fujifilm GFX or Sony A7 system. Price would be similar. I've had Fuji x cams before and really really enjoyed the film sims and overall handling. Also the look of the camera. Just holding them in hands was such a joy. The look of the Sony is ok but doesn't hook me right away.
My usage would be photography stills only. No sports, no action. Mainly bringing my camera when taking walks, discover cities and nature, traveling and some indoor photos when bored. Also family portraits. That's why I'm thinking of the slower GFX as an option. No need for the fastes AF or video. I would probably set with two prime lenses. Maybe a third one someday in future.
But I often read the Sony has stunning image quality and it would be an overall ligther setup. The GFX even with that 50mm is still kinda bulky. Would you still go for the GFX for a even better image quality or is the Sony just fine?
