Legend has it that druids from Bristol introduced the native Alabamians to concepts of sticking things in the ground and mumbo jumbo. Before this time the peoples of the region would lay objects on the ground flat so they wouldn't fall over and would converse logically.
Some have postulated that the Bristolite interference may have lead to the sudden popularity of the "Totem Pole Fad" that much later European settlers observed. [citation needed]
