About OP, yes, I do the same as you. Talk to people from BOTH sides, when I can help I help, when I can't I help asking from them (when really necessary). Yeah, biased young girls. Had some problems with rich people acting like poor people to get inside riots, or like Media Ninja, which stage an act to force their views for fake news.
Just act natural, and blend with the people in the street. When you have to deal with 'sides', neutral colours so you can't be in trouble for wearing blue in a red rampage.
