>>4217830Not anyone who's been posting ITT but what I love about Ansell's work is very very few people in his time deliberately created photos with true black and true white, the contrast is beyond the style of the time and what was typical of photography. In his hundreds of photos there are lots of blandies, but the stunning ones look like they were taken in 2023 with a medium format. A trailblazer of technique and aesthetic and people will never stop appreciating that about his work.
Fuck it's been like 100 years and his togs are absolutely inspiring to tographers and plebs alike.
