The clouds on the top and the plants on the bottom distract from them
The left tree obscures the road, the right one would have been enough to give a sense of depth and distance
Mordning or evening light will have a shallower angle and give more contour to the topography
Alternatively, wait for beams of sunlight to break through the clouds
