I was thinking about making several single high watt LED likes that have serpentine necks. I have made a prototype one from an old 1950s lamp like that (pic), but purpose built ones would be far better. I just need some more heat sinks and thermal paste for the LEDs. That way their thin bodies can twist and turn right to where the light needs to be on the subject when there's lots of gear in the way and working distance is close to the lens.
