>>4308745It's not a high end filter like those, but it is spotlessly clean, and so is my front element. It's a Vivitar chinese one that came for free with a lens purchase from Abe's of Maine.
Here's an extreme crop to show what I mean, everything taken with high contrast or towards the sun has extreme ghosting going on around contrasting edges, and the bokeh looks like total crap, and the contrast is really low. Could this just be heat haze? I plan to test it more thoroughly tomorrow.
