Why is reddit always cumming to each others camera collections and why do they go out of the way to post them? Is it just the reddit culture or are most photographers like this? I met someone who obsesses over collecting them but rarely ever shoots with them.
Anyways, let's make this thread about people you've met while shooting. I'll start.
>be me
>live about 40 mins out from LA
>decide to go visit little tokyo via train
>go on train and get there during sunset
>walk around and see a scene I'd like to shoot
>pull out my Fuji camera
That was my first mistake
>Actual huge neckbeard sees my camera and does a scoff? I mean, he goes "hmmph" or something like that
>I'm wearing my mask but i could still smell him through it, he was a good 6ish feet from me
>i begin moving around, trying to find an angle I like, my friend who was with me was talking to me while I did this
>this fatass neckbeard walks up to me and asks what I was shooting with
>I tell him I'm using a Fuji with a Canon 50mm 1.4
>He tells me I HAVE TO UPGRADE TO A FULL FRAME CAMERA AND AT MINIMUM GET A 24-105MM LENS TO BE GOOD
>I tell him I only shoot casually and for photography assignments (I was taking a course at college for an elective)
>he starts rambling on about cameras and lenses and what not, my friend begins to audibly laugh as he backs away and leaves me to my own devices
>i try multiple times to break off but I'm too fucking polite to do that
>during this, i thought I my nose became a little white girl because it was being ass raped by this fatass nigger smelling neckbeard
>Finally just tell him i gotta go and just walk away
>didn't even get the photos i wanted
Yeah, that's about it.
