The only way it makes sense is if you do indeed think that China uses slave labor, and you think using slave labor is a good thing. Otherwise there would be absolutely no reason for bringing it up in the first place. All whataboutism amounts to is a tacit admission that "yes, I'm doing that thing that you criticize, and I think that's a good thing".
