OK...here's the classic 5D vs the latest/greatest E-M1X using the "low light" mode of the DPReview comparison. What a surprise, a 15yo FF sensor still edges out the mft sensor in terms of SnR despite read noise being far worse back then. The 5D didn't even have gapless microlenses for fuck's sake.

Even back then photon shot noise dominated, and bigger sensors COLLECT MORE LIGHT.
