See the Indian guy I mentioned who escalated his focal length due to anxiety in these threads. I'm pretty sure he just gave up because no matter how much his lens could zoom he wasn't solving his inner anxiety about photographing people. If your intention is to take photos on the street then you need to build confidence one way or another. Buying gear will not make your anxiety go away or fix an issue you have with confidence. It's a vicious cycle of buying shit you don't need.
