I don't really know what's wrong with it - the mirror was flipping up and the shutter was opening. Firstly, if anyone has had the same problem with the A1, I'm curious to find out what the issue was. Secondly, I'm going to uni soon and want a new film camera to take with me. Budget is preferably less than £100/$150. Could anyone rec a film camera which is good for a beginner and is reliable? I need it to work nicely and be quite simple to get to grips with.
