In my brief wandering I've discovered anywhere with moss and lichen is probably also a good spot for mushrooms. Also anywhere where the woods are managed (planted and replanted within the last 200 years, kept in rows, etc) or near walking trails because they have way more breaking and falling wood, which in turn results in more mushy food
