I bought a used X100 at the beginning of this year, and liked it a lot. Yes, it's kinda slow and sometimes clunky, and the AF is crap, but the lens and sensor are still excellent. I got mine in very nice condition for $400 and can't imagine a better camera for the money.
That said, I don't have it anymore - I liked it so much that I resold it, along with my Nikon DSLR setup, and went whole hog into an X-Pro2 system.
This picture is snapshit incarnate, but I think it does a good job of showing off the kind of color, rendering, and DR you get out of the OG X100.
