>>2929984Woooohooo I think i'm making progress with my Nikon D 3100 and kit lens I got this picture of the andromeda galaxy even with the moon out just east of where the andromeda galaxy was I took this picture of the andromeda galaxy just after 1:50 AM on September 21 2016 what I did was is set my camera lens to auto and let the camera automatically focus on the next next door's outside light then set the lens back to manual and placed it on tripod snapped this picture and a picture of a over exposed moon with the Pleiades just off to the side.
Any advice for what to change on my camera settings for next shot?
What is a good lens I should look for used for my Nikon D 3100 if I hunt on craigslist I got a budget of like $400
