I think the lighting in this photo gives it great dimensionality, or dare I say... 3d pop? It's the classic technique of having the background brighter than the foreground, and nice soft lighting. I don't think it's the camera as much as the lighting. I will say that these images at least have an interesting look to them.

My ccd camera seems to love bright and soft lighting like I had that day. I really like how they all came out.
