>>3859176>it was dark brown and like.. widehmmm, hard to tell what it would be from just that. Could be a cottonmouth (venomous) or could be something like a plain bellied water snake (harmless). If you see a snake upclose and can see if it has pits and cat like features then you'll know that it's a venomous pit viper, though you'd have to get a good look at the snake to really know that.
