>>3226950>>3227039>>3227056The problem is a single emulation won’t scale with exposure or changes in wb, as film doesn’t respond in a linear manner. Believe me I’ve tried. Best you can do is experiment and learn from it. E.g. Portra 400 gets all its contrast from the interplay between shadow and highlight tones, not from any kind of modern interpretation of what contrast is, and it’s massvely desaturated with a midtone bias towards blue. None of this was particularly evident when first looking at the scans, it took a counterintuitive approach to fathom it.
