Quite rare unfortunately. It got replaced by the uglier Zorki 4 not long after it went into production, and the Zorki 4 got cheapened down over time.
As for an SLR, I recommend the Pentax ME Super. It's fairly cheap, compact, and has a very large viewfinder image that puts most DSLRs to shame.
Adapts to M42 with no extra bulk, and there's some nice quirky soviet lenses available for the K mount too (including the Helios 44, 6 blade multicoated version).
