>>2926933Not going to disagree that Japanese suburbs are lacking excitement, and they're not exactly beautiful, but I wouldn't call them ugly. I've been to some downright squalid, vile, genuinely ugly places in the US and other countries, and I can't say I've never seen anything comparable in Japan. The worst I can say about Japanese suburbs is that they can be boring. If you look, you can usually find something photogenic though.
