>>2852535Yeah absolutely. I used manual focus for the entire time I was taking photos at the rally. I usually keep my focus peaking on low or medium depending on the situation, with a red highlight, and I use the zebras as well. Because I was shooting in a hectic environment, you'll notice most of my photos are f 4.5, just because I didn't want to miss a shot with missed focus. I think the dof is still reasonable for most of these photos.
>>2852537I left the rally a bit early to make sure I got some of the protests outside. I had to leave early because I was going out of town, and I just wanted to get more protesters. As soon as I got outside, I noticed the scene was a lot different. Now there were hundreds of police, with "less lethal" guns, mace paintball guns, knight sticks, etc.
