>>3483889Slide film tends to lose contrast and color shift quite a bit, but works best at box speed in my experience. Also slower film holds up better. I've gotten some pretty decent results from old Velvia 50 and Fujichrom 64T, after editing the scans a lot, but I tried some equally old Provia 400, and it wasn't really salvageable.
In the end, though, slide film is such an expensive pain in the ass to process that it's often not worth shooting if it's long expired.
