I'm finally pretty much ready to pull the trigger on a Bronica SQ-A, but I have a couple of questions because I know a few anons here have experience with these cameras. I want to start with a barebones kit to see if I like it first, so I'm getting just an SQ-A body, a waistlevel finder, an 80mm f/2.8 PS lens, and a single back. Does that seem like a good place to start? If I really like it I may look into getting 50mm and 150mm lenses, a prism finder, and maybe another back or two.
I'm buying from KEH so I trust everything to be in pretty good shape, but I've read that the film backs are the usual failure point so I'm trying to hopefully get a good one which won't shit the bed. I see that they have a lot of different backs, the one I'm thinking of getting says it's an SQ/SQA/SQAM 120 back and I think I'll splurge on the EX condition one over the BGN. Is there any point getting one of the more expensive backs which are seemingly later models, if all I'm using is an SQ-A body? I'm not sure if they were upgraded to be more reliable or anything like that.
