The pinnacle of the genre in in the US was Todd fucking Rundgren. A pretty good musician who wrote some nice pop ditties in his early years but his Utopia ego trip was the shit of legend. The rest of white American popular music, with only a handful of exceptions, was coke snorting cowboy dross like the Eagles.
Also, Bohemian Rhapsody was never good. It was crap from the day it was released.
