>>4074600I'd leave the film camera at home and bring zooms instead. A 24-70mm, or better a 24-120mm. A 70-200mm would come in handy, and so would a 14-24mm, but as you said you could also cover the wide end with panoramas.
I definitely see the appeal of shooting film, but a rare opportunity like that calls for efficient use of your time, and that's what digital cameras with zoom lenses are for.
Pic related is from Deception Island. I only had my phone back then, but it got me inspired to get into photography as a hobby, so I went and bought a real camera when I got home.
