So I'm fairly new to photography, I'm about 6 months / 20k photos in.
I'm shooting right now with a borrowed rabal XS (1000D), and I feel like I'm somewhat held back by how shit the camera is. The sharpness and low-light performance in particular is poor, along with AF speed and basically everything else. Keep in mind that this is a 7-year-old low-tier-entry-level 10mp DSLR with kit lenses. So I'm thinking of getting something a bit nicer (although probably used).
Thing is, I feel like I'm still too early in the "learning" stage to actually benefit from a better camera. I've done all sorts of stuff from low-light to portraits to landscapes to action and haven't really committed to any particular field.
So, /p/, I need advice. What camera would you recommend? Assume I'm sticking with APS-C and Canon (my friends all shoot Canon so it's just easier because we can swap lenses and accessories and whatnot), what's a good all-around slightly-older model I should buy used? There's just so many options, from the T3/4/5is to the 50/60/70Ds. Or is it best to just stick with the XS until I know what I'm doing more and save my money?
